- Computer science with experience in omics data processing
- Molecular biology with experience in genome editing
- Stem cell biology with experience in the differentiation of human iPS cells to functional neurons and cerebral organoids
Master’s and Ph.D. Program
Dr. Ma currently serves as faculty in the Integrated Biomedical Sciences (IBMS) Graduate Program and the Biomedical Engineering (BME) program (Ph.D. and M.S.) at the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio (UT Health San Antonio).

Students interested in studying brain disorders, such as Alzheimer’s disease and schizophrenia, are welcome to apply. Students will obtain training in bioinformatics, large data analysis, gene editing, and modeling disease using human induced pluripotent stem cells derived brain cell types (e.g., neurons).
