Kayla Sanchez presented a poster at the International Society of Traumatic Stress Studies (ISTSS) Annual meeting exploring the changes in activation and connectivity before and after trauma-focused therapy in adolescents with PTSD.
Specifically, this research looked at brain regions in which either activation or connectivity changed significantly from pre-treatment to post-treatment, as well as which of these changes correlated with the percent of symptom improvement. This research helps to identify quantifiable measures associated with symptom improvement
