Anjali Sivaramakrishnan is an assistant professor in the Department of Physical Therapy at the School of Health Professions at UT Health San Antonio, Texas. Dr. Sivaramakrishnan\u2019s background includes a Bachelor\u2019s degree in physiotherapy from Sancheti Institute College of Physiotherapy and a Master\u2019s degree in physiotherapy in neurosciences from Manipal University. She completed her PhD in rehabilitation sciences from the University of Illinois at Chicago. She has over 10 years of experience in the rehabilitation of individuals with disorders such as stroke, spinal cord injury, Parkinson\u2019s Disease, and other disorders.[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column_inner][\/vc_row_inner][vc_column_text css=””]\"\"<\/p>\n

Gustavo J Almeida, PT, Ph.D.<\/a><\/h2>\n

Lab Director<\/p>\n

Dr. Almeida received his PT degree and training in Brazil and has over 18 years of clinical experience focusing on Sports and Orthopedics Rehabilitation. He obtained his PhD in Rehabilitation Science from the University of Pittsburgh and is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Physical Therapy at UT Health San Antonio. His research focuses on interventions to improve physical function and activity in individuals with arthritis. More specifically, Dr. Almeida is currently testing the feasibility of using blood-flow restriction during prehabilitation in individuals awaiting total knee replacement[\/vc_column_text][vc_separator css=””][vc_column_text css=””]<\/p>\n

Jeffrey Kallberg, PT, DPT, RMSK<\/h2>\n

Assistant Professor<\/p>\n

Jeffrey Kallberg, PT, DPT, RMSK, serves as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Physical Therapy at UT Health San Antonio. He brings more than three decades of clinical experience to his teaching in Clinical Foundations I & II and Management of the Complex Patient. A registered musculoskeletal sonographer (RMSK), his academic and clinical interests center on integrating MSK ultrasound into physical therapy practice and education and advancing conservative management strategies for orthopedic and bleeding-disorder populations. He has worked extensively with hemophilia treatment teams and speaks on the role of ultrasound in assessment and rehabilitation. Dr. Kallberg holds a BS in Physical Therapy (University of Minnesota) and a DPT (University of South Dakota).<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Mia Rodriguez received her Bachelor\u2019s degree in Biochemistry and is a Research Assistant and Coordinator in the Department of Physical Therapy at UT Health San Antonio. She coordinates clinical research studies in Parkinson\u2019s disease, conducting participant assessments and intervention sessions, collaborating with multiple departments, and analyzing study data. Her work focuses on advancing clinical trials to evaluate motor function and develop data-driven interventions for individuals with Parkinson\u2019s disease.[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column width=”1\/2″][vc_column_text css=””]<\/p>\n
